Please consult the entry procedure for general entry rules.
- All entries must be clean, pet-hair free, odor and scent free, and new in appearance.
- Entries must have been completed since the last Fair.
- Entries must be properly finished, hemmed, labeled, and named.
- To ensure cleanliness and safety, entries should be submitted in a sealed plastic bag marked with owner’s name and address.
- All classes are open to all ages.
- Entries are judged on workmanship, finished appearance, design, color, and originality.
- The age of a Junior must be given or that individual will be judged at the highest age for their grade level.
DEFINITIONS
- Professional – someone who provides and profits (payments/gratuities) from quilt related services, designs/sells patterns, does quilting/binding for other, and/or sell quilts or does commissions. Does not include occasionally teaching a quilting class.
- Group – more than one person involved in the making (piecing/appliqueing) or the finishing (hand/machine quilting or binding) of the entry.
- Individual – All aspects (making, quilting, and finishing) of an entry completed by a single person
- Size – If an entry crosses two sizes (eg. double/twin width and king/queen length) enter size based on width
- King/Queen – 84”x 100” to 124”x 116”
- Double/Twin – 63”x 87” to 82”x 110”
- Lap/Crib – 45”x 63” to 60”x 80”
- Large Wall Hanging – 45” to 60”
- Small Wall Hanging – Under 45” (not a miniature)
- Miniature – miniature is more than one block, scaled proportionally, 24” or less, or representational of a larger quilt
- Precut – entry wherein the majority or all of the fabrics used came precut (jelly roll, layer cake, or charm pack)
- Kit – entry wherein the majority or all of the fabrics used came from a kit
