Dalton City
Dalton City, part of the set of the 1991 Disney movie White Fang, was moved from the banks of the Chilkat River to the fairgrounds in 1992. The individual units are rented to small businesses and artists, and the set, with it’s faux-Gold Rush era buildings connected by wooden boardwalk, remains a tourist attraction. The Fair hosts many events through the year–the Great Alaska Craft Beer and Home Brew Festival, the Community King Salmon Barbecue, and Fair contests such as the Fisherman’s Rodeo, on White Fang Way, the set’s central avenue.
