Southeast’s Got Talent

Thursday, July 25, 6:00 pm at the Main Stage

Southeast’s Got Talent Contest!

SET UP TIME CAN NOT TAKE LONGER THAN 3 MINUTES!

Here’s how it works:

  1. get together an act, under 5 minutes long.  this could be a dance act, comedy routine, musical act, dramatic performance, contortionist act, big game calling… just about anything* that you want to highlight as your unique talent.
  2. read the rules and directions below, and if they are agreeable, fill in the registration below that.  If you would rather, you can register at the Fair Info Booth Thursday, 7/25, between noon and 5 pm.
  3. If you registered ahead of time, pay your $10 entry fee at the Fair Info Booth Thursday of the Fair.
  4. Meet Amanda (the red head with the clipboard) at the door to the wings on stage right of the main stage at 5 pm. she will give you your running order. Stick around the stage until it is your time to perform, and get up there and break a leg!
  5. your act will be 5 minutes or fewer. if you go over 5 minutes, we will gong you. when you hear the gong, you need to stop (even if you aren’t done!) make your bows, and leave the stage.  Getting gonged off stage does not disqualify you in the judging, but may be taken into account in the judging process.
  6. After all of the performances, the judges will retreat to a private place to deliberate, and we will announce the winners from the Main Stage as soon as they have made their final decision.

  * no animal acts, no fire

other items of note –

  • the Talent Show is limited to 14 total entries to keep us on schedule. this could mean that if you wait until the last minute to register, there may not be a place open for you
  • Adult category is ages 17 and up; youth category is age 16 and younger. age is determined based on the age of the main entrant, or of the majority of entrants if it is a group act, subject to event organizer’s judgement.
