2024 Southeast Alaska Home Brew Competition

Part of the 30th Great Alaska Craft Beer & Home Brew Festival!
May 24 – 25, 2024!

Beer, mead and cider enthusiasts all across the state of Alaska and into the Yukon are invited to show the skill of their craft in this competition to find the best home brews in the region! Send your entry to Haines, Alaska at the drop off point near you, and have your brew tasted, evaluated and awarded by registered judges!

2024 Competition Results

After being away for a few years, the 2024 Southeast Alaska Home Brew Competition was a great success!

A total of 34 entries were recieved from across 5 states and the Yukon region, which were judged in 5 flights and 3 divisions.
The following results for this BJCP registered competition were announced at the 30th Annual Craft Beer & Home Brew Festival.

Division 1, Flight 1 – Stouts & Porters

Steps to Entering Your Home Brew

 

1) Find the category and sub category of your brew in the BJCP guidelines

 

 

 

2) Label 2 – 3 bottles per entry with the

downloadable PDF label above, and attach label with rubberbands only

 

 

 

3) Register your entry below, pay the registration fee ($5 per entry), and hand the bottles off to the brewery near you to transport to Haines!

 

 

 

 

Anchorage Area Entry Deadline: May 15

Whitehorse Area Entry Deadline: May 22

Haines Area Entry Deadline: May 23

Participating as a brewer outside of Alaska in the Continental US

To enter your brew in the Southeast Alaska Home Brew Contest, follow the steps above to label and register your entry, and then get ready to ship!

Entries must consist of 2 – 3 bottles, each bottle must be labeled, and entries must be shipped through Fed Ex only to the address listed below.

Contact Emma Brouillette at emma@seakfair.org to inquire about shipping dates and send notice so we can communicate when your brew arrives safe and sound in Juneau. 

After contacting emma@seakfair.org, ship your entry through Fed Ex only to the address below, and Devil’s Club Brewing Company will transport it to Haines, Alaska for judging.

We do not limit how many entries a brewer can enter, but instead encourage variety.

Rather than entering multiple brews into the same category that will then end up competing with one another, show us your skills in multiple categories!
