Special Opportunity for Farmers and Gardeners to sell locally grown starts at the Haines Sustainability Fair, April 24, 10-1 PM, Haines School. No table fee! No Market fee! The Sustainability Fair is sponsored jointly by the Haines Energy Sustainability Commission and Haines Friends of Recycling. Organizational meeting for the Farmers Market
March 27, 2:30 PM, Community Room, Haines Borough Public Library. Agenda includes discussion of participation in organization of the FM in lieu of percentage due as a vendor; selection of FM facilitator/publicist, bookkeeper, and manager.
Located in Payson's Pavilion in the Fair Grounds.

Haines Farmers Market Mission Statement
The Haines Farmers Market is a community organization dedicated to providing a place for local non-professional and professional growers, artists, and craftspeople to sell directly to consumers; and a place for consumers to buy locally grown and made products directly from local producers. The Market also aims to enhance the quality of life in the Chilkat Valley by providing a community activity that fosters social gathering and interaction. Come eat, drink, chat, shop, and be merry 10-1 PM Saturdays this summer!

Fees
Tables: $5/market payable to the Southeast Alaska State Fair for space & utilities.
10% of gross payable to Haines Farmers Market for market management.

If you are selling food, then you must comply with State DEC regulations. Download a publication that outlines your responsibilities. You can obtain a Food Worker Card for free by taking an on-line test at http://alaska.state.gegov.com/foodworker/
Vendor Responsibilities
- No vehicles on the Fairgrounds, please!
- Offer only quality Alaska made, grown, caught or produced items
- Comply with State DEC regulations
- Provide your own cash box & change
- Prepare a price list
- Set up & dismantle your table
- Carry out your own trash!
- Dress warmly
- Leave pets at home
- Have fun!
